Servidor MCP que expone clima histórico por hora (temperatura, humedad, sensación térmica, nubosidad) usando la API gratuita de Open-Meteo, sin necesidad de API key.
Piensa en esto como un "adaptador": traduce preguntas de Claude ("¿qué clima hacía el 9 de agosto de 2026 a las 8am en Víctor Larco, Trujillo?") en llamadas a la API de Open-Meteo, y devuelve la respuesta en un formato que Claude puede leer.
Herramientas que expone
- get_historical_weather: clima hora por hora (24 horas) para una fecha y coordenadas dadas.
- get_weather_at_time: clima en una hora específica de un día pasado (más directo cuando solo te interesa un momento puntual, como la hora de inicio de un entrenamiento).
Correrlo en tu computadora (para probar)
npm install
npm start
El servidor queda escuchando en http://localhost:3000, con el endpoint MCP en
http://localhost:3000/mcp.
Desplegarlo en Railway (para que funcione 24/7 desde cualquier dispositivo)
- Crea una cuenta gratuita en railway.app (puedes entrar con tu cuenta de GitHub).
- Sube este proyecto a un repositorio de GitHub (instrucciones abajo).
- En Railway: New Project → Deploy from GitHub repo → selecciona este repo.
- Railway detecta automáticamente que es un proyecto Node.js (por el
package.json) y lo despliega solo. No hace falta configurar nada más. - Cuando termine el despliegue, Railway te da una URL pública, algo como
https://weather-history-mcp-production.up.railway.app. - Tu endpoint MCP para conectar a Claude será esa URL +
/mcp, por ejemplo:https://weather-history-mcp-production.up.railway.app/mcp
Conectarlo a Claude
- Ve a la configuración de conectores de Claude (claude.ai → Settings → Connectors, o el equivalente en la app).
- Agrega un connector personalizado ("Add custom connector" o similar).
- Pega la URL de Railway terminada en
/mcp. - Guarda. A partir de ahí, en cualquier chat puedes activarlo y Claude podrá consultar clima histórico directamente.
