TVCMall Customer MCP
A remote MCP server for TVCMall customers to query products, orders, shipping, points, and balance transactions via natural language, with PAT-based authentication.
README
TVCMall Customer MCP
TVCMall Customer MCP is a remote, read-only MCP service for TVCMall users. Once connected, you can query products, shipping costs, orders, tracking information, points, and balance transaction history directly from Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex.
The service uses remote Streamable HTTP MCP. You do not need to download, install, or run anything from this repository. Just configure the service once in your MCP client.
Before you connect
Temporary integration endpoint:
http://115.175.225.101:38090/mcp
You will also need to obtain <TVCMALL_PAT> - the current user's Personal Access Token (PAT) - from a TVCMall administrator through a secure channel. The token format is tmcp_v1_{tokenId}.{secret}. Replace the PAT placeholder in the examples below, including the angle brackets.
[!WARNING] This temporary integration endpoint uses unencrypted HTTP over the public internet. Your PAT, queries, and response data could be intercepted or modified. Use it only for controlled, short-term integration testing. Do not use a production PAT. Production deployments must use an HTTPS MCP endpoint.
The examples below place <TVCMALL_PAT> directly in each client's Header configuration. After you replace the placeholder, the PAT is stored in plain text in your personal client configuration. Use only your own device and profile, restrict access to the configuration file, and never commit the configuration to Git, copy it to a public location, or share it with anyone else.
Connect with Claude
Claude Code
Claude Code supports custom Headers for remote HTTP MCP servers. Run this command in a terminal:
claude mcp add --transport http --scope user tvcmall 'http://115.175.225.101:38090/mcp' \
--header 'TVCMALL_API_KEY: <TVCMALL_PAT>'
Before running the command, replace <TVCMALL_PAT> with a real test PAT. The command saves both tvcmall and the PAT to your user-level Claude Code configuration. It may also be recorded in your shell history, so do not run it in a shared terminal or while recording your screen. Then:
- Restart Claude Code.
- Enter
/mcp. - Confirm that
tvcmallis shown asconnectedand that the TVCMall tools are available.
To update the URL or PAT, run claude mcp remove tvcmall, then add the server again.
Limitations in Claude and Claude Desktop
The remote custom connector interface in Claude and Claude Desktop currently supports only a URL and OAuth configuration. It cannot add the custom TVCMALL_API_KEY Header required by this service, so you cannot connect through that interface at this time. Use Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex instead, and do not put the PAT in the URL.

Connect with Cursor
Cursor can add a custom Header for a remote MCP server through the user-level mcp.json file.
- Open your user-level configuration file:
- macOS / Linux:
~/.cursor/mcp.json - Windows:
%USERPROFILE%\.cursor\mcp.json
- macOS / Linux:
- If the file already contains
mcpServers, merge only thetvcmallentry below. Do not overwrite your other servers. - Add this configuration:
{
"mcpServers": {
"tvcmall": {
"url": "http://115.175.225.101:38090/mcp",
"headers": {
"TVCMALL_API_KEY": "<TVCMALL_PAT>"
}
}
}
}
Save the file, quit Cursor completely, and restart it. Then open Customize > MCP and confirm that tvcmall is enabled. In some versions, this page is named Settings > Tools & Integrations.
Replace <TVCMALL_PAT> with a real test PAT. The value is stored in your user-level configuration file. Do not place a configuration containing a real PAT in a project-level .cursor/mcp.json, and never commit it to Git.
Reference: Official Cursor MCP documentation.
Connect with Codex
Codex CLI and the Codex IDE extension share the MCP configuration in config.toml.
- Open your user-level configuration file:
- macOS / Linux:
~/.codex/config.toml - Windows:
%USERPROFILE%\.codex\config.toml
- macOS / Linux:
- Add the configuration below. If
[mcp_servers.tvcmall]already exists, update the existing entry instead of adding a duplicate:
[mcp_servers.tvcmall]
url = "http://115.175.225.101:38090/mcp"
http_headers = { "TVCMALL_API_KEY" = "<TVCMALL_PAT>" }
Replace <TVCMALL_PAT> with a real test PAT. The value is stored in your user-level Codex configuration file. Save the file and restart Codex, then run:
codex mcp list
You can also enter /mcp in the Codex TUI to confirm that tvcmall is connected and its tools are available.
Reference: Official Codex MCP documentation.
Verify the connection
Once your client reports that it is connected, try asking:
Check whether the TVCMall MCP is configured, then show my 10 most recent orders.
The client will usually call tvcmall_auth_status first. A response of configured: true only means the PAT is configured for the current MCP session; it does not mean the PAT has been validated by the TVCMall WebApi. Your credentials and permissions are usable only when a subsequent read-only query succeeds.
The client manages the MCP session automatically. If you restart the client, the connection expires while idle, or the service restarts, simply reconnect. You do not need to save the session ID manually.
What you can query
| Capability | Example prompt |
|---|---|
| Product search and details | "Find phone cases for iPhone 15" or "Show product information for SKU 100100" |
| Shipping estimates for products not yet ordered | "Estimate shipping to the United States for 20 units of SKU 100100" |
| Orders | "Show my 10 most recent orders" or "Show details for order V24011000008" |
| Tracking and order shipping costs | "Show tracking and shipping costs for order V24011000008" or "Get tracking details for these orders in bulk" |
| Points | "Show my points balance" or "Show my recent points redemption history" |
| Balance transaction history | "Show my balance transaction history" or "Show only balance deductions" |
For tracking or shipping costs on an existing order, provide the order number. For a shipping estimate on products not yet ordered, provide the SKU, quantity, and destination country or region.
All v0.1 capabilities are read-only. The service does not support placing orders, making payments, changing addresses, canceling orders, redeeming points, or exporting files.
Security notes
- Use the complete PAT as the
TVCMALL_API_KEYvalue. Do not add aBearerprefix. - Do not configure an inbound
AuthorizationHeader for this service or configure both credential types. - Each user must use their own PAT. Do not share PATs or use server-wide shared credentials.
- Do not use your TVCMall website password, website login token, or OAuth token in place of a PAT.
- The current HTTP endpoint is only for temporary integration testing and must use a revocable test PAT. In production, connect only to the HTTPS MCP URL provided by an administrator.
- The PAT is stored in plain text in your personal client configuration. Restrict access to the configuration file and avoid using shared devices.
- Do not put the PAT in a URL, chat message, log, or screenshot.
- If you suspect that a PAT has been exposed, contact a TVCMall administrator immediately to revoke and reissue it.
Troubleshooting
| Issue or error | What to do |
|---|---|
The client cannot find tvcmall |
Check that the URL ends in /mcp and that the Header name and value are complete, then restart the client completely. |
401 AUTH_REQUIRED |
The PAT is missing, malformed, expired, or revoked. Confirm that the Header name is TVCMALL_API_KEY and that the value does not include a Bearer prefix. |
403 PERMISSION_DENIED |
The current PAT does not have the required permission, or the server route is not available. Ask a TVCMall administrator to check your access. |
429 RATE_LIMITED |
Requests are being sent too frequently. Wait and try again. |
API_UNAVAILABLE |
The TVCMall WebApi is temporarily unavailable, the network failed, or the request timed out. Try again later; contact an administrator if the problem continues. |
404 SESSION_NOT_FOUND |
The MCP session expired, was deleted, or was lost when the service restarted. Reconnect or restart the client. |
| Claude Desktop cannot connect | The current custom connector interface cannot send TVCMALL_API_KEY. Use Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex instead. |
