Simple MCP Server
A basic Model Context Protocol (MCP) server for testing MCP functionality.
Features
This server provides three simple tools:
- echo - Echoes back any text you provide
- greet - Generates a greeting message with your name
- calculate - Performs basic arithmetic operations (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
Setup

Install dependencies:
npm install -
Run the server:
npm start
Testing with Claude Desktop
To test this MCP server with Claude Desktop, add the following to your Claude Desktop configuration:

Usage Examples
Once connected, you can test the tools:
- Echo: "Use the echo tool to repeat 'Hello World'"
- Greet: "Use the greet tool with the name 'Alice'"
- Calculate: "Use the calculate tool to add 5 and 3"
Troubleshooting
- Make sure Node.js is installed
- Ensure the path in your Claude Desktop config is correct
- Restart Claude Desktop after updating the configuration
