SCOPUS MCP Server
MCP server for the Scopus literature database, powered by the official Elsevier Scopus Search API.
Requirements
An Elsevier API key is required (free, personal tier, weekly quota ~20,000 requests):
- Go to https://dev.elsevier.com/ and sign in / register
- Click "Request an API Key" and create a key
- Set it as the
ELS_API_KEYenvironment variable
The key is read from the environment only — never commit it to the repo.

Run locally

Deploy
The included Dockerfile runs the server bound to $PORT (default 8000) on
0.0.0.0. Set ELS_API_KEY as a secret environment variable on your host.
