react-uswds-mcp

An MCP server that indexes your locally-installed @trussworks/react-uswds package (from the host project's node_modules) and exposes tools/resources that help code assistants:

discover components
inspect detected Props surfaces (best-effort)
generate correct import + usage snippets
suggest components for a UI use case

Prerequisites

Node.js 18+
Yarn (recommended Yarn 4.12)

Install

yarn install

Build + run

yarn build
yarn start

Dev (no build)

yarn dev

Environment

REACT_USWDS_PACKAGE (optional): package name to resolve. Default is @trussworks/react-uswds.
