Prismfy MCP Server
Enables web search with configurable filters (engine, language, time-range, domain, page) and provides current tier and quota information via the Prismfy Search API.
README
Prismfy MCP Server
An MCP server that gives compatible agent hosts two Prismfy Search API tools:
prismfy_search— web search with optional engine, language, time-range, domain, and page filters;prismfy_quota— current tier and quota information.
It uses the official MCP TypeScript server SDK and communicates over stdio, so a host starts and owns the process locally. API credentials remain in the host environment and are never written to the repository.
Install
npm install
npm run build
export PRISMFY_API_KEY="your_key_here"
node dist/index.js
Example host configuration
{
"mcpServers": {
"prismfy": {
"command": "node",
"args": ["/absolute/path/to/prismfy-mcp/dist/index.js"],
"env": { "PRISMFY_API_KEY": "your_key_here" }
}
}
}
Development
npm install
npm run check
npm test
npm test uses a mock HTTP client and makes no live Prismfy API request.
Security
The server reads its key only from PRISMFY_API_KEY. It writes protocol output
only to stdout and diagnostics only to stderr, keeping the stdio MCP channel
valid. Do not commit .env files or put keys in host configuration tracked by Git.
