Tools for working with Apple Notes: bulk export to markdown and an MCP server for LLM access.
Install
bun install
Export
Bulk-export all Apple Notes to markdown files with images and folder structure preserved.
bun export-notes.ts
By default notes are exported to ./exported. Use -o to specify a custom output folder:
bun export-notes.ts -o ~/Documents/my-notes
- Fetches all notes from Apple Notes (all accounts, nested folders)
- Converts HTML to markdown
- Extracts embedded images to an
images/subfolder - Preserves folder hierarchy (e.g.
Row/Test/folder note.md) - Adds YAML frontmatter (title, dates, folder, account)
