Installation

pip install mcp
python mcp_server.py

x402 Payment Setup (Required for Real Payments)

To enable real USDC payments on Base:

1. Create a wallet on Base mainnet
2. Set environment variable:

   export X402_RECIPIENT_ADDRESS="0xYourWalletAddress"
   

3. (Optional) Use testnet:

   export X402_NETWORK="base-sepolia"  # Default: base-mainnet
   

Without X402_RECIPIENT_ADDRESS, the server runs in placeholder mode (accepts any payment token).

How x402 Payments Work

1. Client calls a paid tool without payment → Server returns 402 Payment Required
2. Client constructs x402 payment via Coinbase CDP SDK
3. Client calls tool with _payment_token parameter
4. Server verifies payment via Coinbase facilitator
5. Tool executes and returns result

• Build reputation in the agent economy

Revenue Model

Agents pay per-use via x402 protocol (USDC on Base). Server owner earns from every tool call.

Example revenue:

• 100 agents × 10 posts/day × $0.05 = $50/day = $1,500/month
