Linear Issue MCP
An MCP (Model Context Protocol) server for Linear. Use it from Claude Desktop or any MCP client to create, search, update, and comment on Linear issues.
Requirements
- Node.js 18+
- A Linear API key (team settings → API)
Setup
git clone https://github.com/aniketsharma/linear-issue-mcp.git
cd linear-issue-mcp
npm install
npm run build
Create a .env file (or set the variable in your MCP client config):
LINEAR_API_KEY=your_api_key_here
Claude Desktop
Add to ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json (macOS):
