What is Imag8?

Imag8 is a style-locking image generation engine. You define a master style once (lighting, mood, composition, colour), then generate unlimited images with different subjects but the same visual identity. No more collections that look like ten different artists made them.

This repo documents the hosted MCP server and REST API so any AI agent can generate on-brand images.

ChatGPT / Custom Agents

Point any MCP client at https://imag8.art/api/v1/mcp (JSON-RPC 2.0) with the same bearer header. OpenAPI spec in openapi.json.

Get an API key

Sign up at imag8.art, open the Account deck, and generate a key. Creator and Pro plans include API and MCP access. Free tier: 10 credits/month.

Why style locking?

Single-image generation is easy with any AI tool. Making a collection that matches stylistically is the hard part. Imag8 locks lighting, lens, texture and mood while varying only the subject, so every image looks art-directed by the same person.

Use cases: e-commerce product photography, print-on-demand merch lines, brand assets, web hero imagery, social media content.
