An MCP (Model Context Protocol) server that enables AI assistants to manage Google Calendar.

Installation
# Clone the repo
git clone https://github.com/SamRind/gcal-mcp-server.git
cd gcal-mcp-server
# Create virtual environment
python -m venv venv
source venv/bin/activate # On Windows: venv\Scripts\activate
# Install dependencies
pip install -r requirements.txt
Google Cloud Setup
- Go to Google Cloud Console
- Create a new project (or select existing)
- Enable the Google Calendar API
- Create OAuth 2.0 credentials (Desktop app)
- Download the credentials JSON and save as
credentials.jsonin the project root
Usage
Running the server
python server.py
Connecting to Claude Desktop
Add to your Claude Desktop config (~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json):
