fallaudio-mcp
Exposes audio processing tools (inspect, normalize, trim, fade, gain, filter, speed, reverse) as MCP tools, enabling Claude to manipulate WAV files through natural language commands.
README
@ai-native-solutions/fallaudio-mcp
MCP stdio server that exposes fallaudio audio ops as tools: WAV inspection, normalize, trim silence, fade in/out, gain, biquad filter, speed, reverse, trim.
Built on @modelcontextprotocol/sdk and @ai-native-solutions/fallaudio-sdk.
Install
npm install -g @ai-native-solutions/fallaudio-mcp
Wire into Claude Code
claude mcp add fallaudio -- npx -y @ai-native-solutions/fallaudio-mcp
Or manually, .mcp.json:
{
"mcpServers": {
"fallaudio": {
"command": "npx",
"args": ["-y", "@ai-native-solutions/fallaudio-mcp"]
}
}
}
Tools
| Tool | Purpose |
|---|---|
inspect |
Report sample rate, channels, duration, peak/RMS dB |
normalize |
Peak-normalize to 0.99 |
trim_silence |
Strip leading/trailing silence below threshold |
fade |
Fade in and/or fade out in seconds |
gain |
Apply dB gain (positive or negative), optional range |
filter |
Biquad lowpass / highpass / bandpass at a cutoff freq |
speed |
Time-stretch (and pitch-shift) by a factor |
reverse |
Reverse the audio |
trim |
Trim to a [start, end) sample range |
Every editing tool takes an input path and an output path (both .wav) and
returns JSON with the number of bytes written.

Example
Ask Claude:
"Use fallaudio to inspect ./recording.wav, then normalize it, apply a highpass filter at 80 Hz to kill rumble, add a 250 ms fade in and fade out, and save it as ./clean.wav."
Claude will chain inspect → normalize → filter → fade.
