Enterprise HR MCP Server
Exposes tools for employee information, leave balance, support tickets, and product inventory, with AI agent integration and A2A communication for escalation.
README
MCP + A2A Enterprise HR Demo
A hands-on project to practice Model Context Protocol (MCP) and basic Agent-to-Agent (A2A) communication using a mock Enterprise HR system.
What I Built
1. MCP Server
Created an Enterprise HR MCP server exposing tools for:
- Employee information
- Leave balance
- Support tickets
- Product inventory
The tools were tested successfully using the MCP Inspector and MCP client.
2. AI Agent + MCP
Connected a Groq LLM to the MCP client.
The LLM:
- Receives the user request.
- Discovers the available MCP tools.
- Selects the appropriate tool.
- Generates the required arguments.
- Calls the MCP tool.
- Receives the result.

3. A2A Communication
Added an Escalation Agent to the primary agent.
The LLM can decide whether a request should:
- Use an MCP tool, or
- Be sent to the Escalation Agent.

Main Goal
This project was built as a hands-on practice project to understand:
- MCP servers
- MCP tools
- MCP clients
- Tool discovery
- LLM tool calling
- A2A agent communication
- How MCP and A2A can work together
