DuckDB MCP Server v1.1

MCP server for DuckDB — built for the ARC Pricing Engine. Exposes 6 tools via Streamable-HTTP transport for use with Fuelix copilots and Prisms.

Setup

Step 1 — Install dependencies

pip install -r requirements.txt

Step 2 — Configure environment

cp .env.example .env

Edit .env — replace ALL <<<REPLACE_WITH_...>>> placeholders:

DUCKDB_PATH=<<<REPLACE_WITH_YOUR_DUCKDB_PATH>>>
MCP_BEARER_TOKEN=<<<REPLACE_WITH_YOUR_BEARER_TOKEN>>>

Generate a bearer token:

python -c "import secrets; print(secrets.token_urlsafe(32))"

Step 3 — Run the server

uvicorn main:app --host 0.0.0.0 --port 8001 --reload

Step 4 — Health check

Step 5 — Test a tool

Step 6 — Test with MCP Inspector

list_tables List all tables in the DB
describe_table Get schema for a table
get_suppliers Return all suppliers
get_price_types Return all price types / price factors
get_table_data Paginated row fetch

Changelog
