crc-lnm-medical-agent
A lightweight MCP canary for ModelScope hosted STDIO that verifies package installation, MCP initialization, and tool discovery without loading models or medical data.
README
CRC-LNM Medical Agent — ModelScope Canary
This release is a lightweight deployment canary for ModelScope hosted STDIO. It verifies
package installation, uvx console startup, MCP initialization, tool discovery, and clean
JSON-RPC transport. It does not load models, patient data, or the six medical tools.
ModelScope hosted STDIO configuration
{
"mcpServers": {
"crc-lnm-medical-agent": {
"command": "uvx",
"args": [
"crc-lnm-medical-agent@1.0.11"
]
}
}
}
In ModelScope, choose hosted deployment and STDIO. Set the command to uvx and add
exactly one argument: crc-lnm-medical-agent@1.0.11. Do not add a URL, host, port,
transport argument, or environment variable.
Local verification
From the repository root, run the fail-fast Windows verification:
powershell -ExecutionPolicy Bypass -File scripts/release_verify.ps1
The installed console process communicates only through MCP JSON-RPC on standard input
and output. scripts/smoke_stdio.py exercises initialize, tools/list, both tool calls,
and controlled shutdown.
Scope
The repository still contains the legacy medical implementation for later migration, but
setuptools excludes it from this canary wheel. Legacy HTTP, Docker, and Nexent guidance is
preserved in docs/LEGACY_HTTP_DEPLOYMENT.md and is not part of ModelScope plan A.
Research use only. This canary provides no medical output and must not be used for clinical decision-making.
