Backlog MCP Server

Enables managing a minimal task backlog with operations to create, list, update, and retrieve tasks with different statuses (open, in progress, blocked, done, cancelled). Tasks are stored in a local JSON file with atomic writes.

MCP Tools

Tool	Description
`backlog_list`	List tasks. Filter by status. Use `summary=true` for counts.
`backlog_get`	Get task by ID
`backlog_create`	Create task
`backlog_update`	Update any field (title, description, status, blocked_reason, evidence)

Usage

npm install
npm run build
npm start
