ariseguard-mcp
Runs AriseGuard on a project to detect valid but silently wrong bugs that pass tests, returning issues and fixes via MCP.
README
ariseguard-mcp
An MCP server that runs AriseGuard on a project and returns the valid but silently wrong bugs it finds — code that passes every test and still costs money. Works with any MCP client: Codex, Cursor, Claude, and others.
Tool
arise_scan({ path? })— runs AriseGuard overpath(default: current directory) and returns each FAIL (blocking) and WARN (advisory) with its fix. A scan of zero files is reported as not a pass, not "clean".
Add it to Codex
codex mcp add ariseguard -- npx -y ariseguard-mcp
(Or run it straight from source, no npm needed: npx -y github:hossamhamdy99/ariseguard-mcp.)
Add it to Cursor
In ~/.cursor/mcp.json (or a project .cursor/mcp.json):
{
"mcpServers": {
"ariseguard": {
"command": "npx",
"args": ["-y", "ariseguard-mcp"]
}
}
}
The CLI on its own
No MCP needed to use the tool — in any project: npx ariseguard. Zero dependencies, source-available.
