AnythingLLM Control Plane MCP Server

An Model Context Protocol (MCP) server for managing and controlling AnythingLLM via its Admin REST API.

Features

Provides MCP tools to interact with your AnythingLLM instance (default base URL: http://localhost:3001/api/v1):

list_workspaces: List all AnythingLLM workspaces.
create_workspace: Create a new workspace with a specified name.
delete_workspace: Delete an existing workspace by slug.
get_system_env: Retrieve system environment and configuration settings dump.
get_vector_count: Get vector count (system-wide or workspace-specific).

Environment Variables

ANYTHINGLLM_BASE_URL: Base URL of the AnythingLLM API (default: http://localhost:3001/api/v1).
ANYTHINGLLM_API_KEY: Developer API Key for authentication (optional, required if authentication is enabled in AnythingLLM).

Installation & Usage

Prerequisites

Python 3.10+
AnythingLLM instance running (default http://localhost:3001)

Run directly

python3 -m anythingllm_mcp_control.server

or using the entry point script:

anythingllm-mcp-control
